Qrvey AI Assistant
The Qrvey Sidekick AI assistant is available directly in Composer, allowing creators to perform tasks using natural language prompts.
This feature is enabled when the Sidekick has been configured with at least one AI agent. For more information, see Customize AI Features.
Start a Sidekick Session
-
Open a dashboard or dataset in Composer.
-
Select the Qrvey Sidekick icon in the toolbar.

The Sidekick displays the available set of enabled agents. Select an agent suited to your task.
-
Type a question or request in the chat interface.
-
Review the AI-generated response, which can include charts, summaries, or data insights.
Note: The Sidekick uses the Qrvey MCP framework to process queries and return results. Responses depend on the selected agent, the context in which the question is asked, and the AI provider selected in the Admin Center.
Qrvey includes the following built-in AI agents, which are disabled by default.
Qrvey Analytics Assistant
Qrvey Analytics Assistant serves as a general-purpose AI assistant with a strong focus on analytics and business intelligence. This agent can answer general questions about the Qrvey platform, analytics, and business intelligence within the security context of the user. It can incorporate multiple datasets or applications when performing tasks that can include data analysis, reporting, dashboards, and visualizations. The Qrvey Analytics Assistant can also use your active dataset or dashboard context to help perform Qrvey-specific tasks such as creating charts, filters, and analytics. Examples of supported prompts include the following:
- "Create a dashboard from the Orders dataset. Use our Corporate theme."
- "Design a report based on this dashboard."
- "What analytical approach is suited for this dataset?"
Note: The Qrvey Analytics Assistant cannot access Pixel-Perfect Reports.
Qrvey Smart Analyzer
Qrvey Smart Analyzer serves as a data analytics assistant where you can ask questions about your data within the context of a selected dataset. You can use Qrvey Smart Analyzer to create charts, dashboards, datasets, filters, and formulas, as well as analyze data in Qrvey. Examples of supported prompts include the following:
- "What chart should I use to compare sales data between regions?"
- "Are there outliers skewing the data, and if so, are they errors or valuable anomalies?"
Note: Before you can use this agent, you must select a dataset.
Qrvey AI Chart Builder
Qrvey AI Chart Builder serves as a visualization assistant, helping to create charts based on your data within the context of a selected dataset. In addition, this agent can determine what kind of chart to build on its own or build a chart based on a user prompt. When directed, it can then add the chart to the dataset or to the dashboard. Examples of supported prompts include the following:
- "What visualizations support this dataset?"
- "Design a chart containing buckets that group the data."
Note: Before you can use this agent, you must select a dataset.
Qrvey Pixel-Perfect Report Builder
Qrvey Pixel-Perfect Report Builder combines several tools to perform the following tasks managed through the Pixel-Perfect Reports interface:
- List and inspect reports and their sections, items, and parameters.
- Fetch rendered report results with applied parameters.
- Create new blank reports containing their default sections (such as header, body, and footer).
- Generate section content.
- Present validation errors for self-correction.
Examples of supported prompts include the following:
- "Which dataset is the Invoices report bound to?"
- "Run report
<reportId>and give me the first 20 rows." - "Create a blank pixel-perfect report titled 'Weekly Ops' using the default page size."
- "Insert a dynamic table bound to dataset
<datasetId>into the body of the report."
Qrvey Formula Assistant
Qrvey Formula Assistant generates and refines Qrvey formulas using standardized syntax, creating valid formula expressions for the active dataset. These formulas are presented as suggestions (proposals) for insertion into the Formula Builder.
Examples of supported prompts include the following:
- "Create a formula that flags whether each order shipped within 3 days of the order date. Label it
fastif it did, slowif it didn't, and treat missing ship dates as today." - "Build a formula that shows each product's stock quantity as a percentage of total inventory across all products."
- "Combine the first name and last name columns into one full name column, formatted as 'Last, First'."
AI Assistant Conversation History
Each Qrvey AI Assistant conversation is saved automatically as you chat. You can resume a chat session (one session per conversation) at any time, from any device.
Use the Session History control to browse, search, reopen, and delete your past conversations. The assistant assigns a short, descriptive name to your conversation after the first exchange.

Remove a conversation from your history by selecting X next to the conversation name, then confirming the action.
Clear the chat and its history by selecting Clear Chat History. This action starts a fresh conversation.

Your conversations are visible only to you.
- In Qrvey Composer, your saved conversations are associated with your
userId. - In embedded scenarios, conversations are associated with your
userIdandclientId.
A user working in Qrvey Composer (without a clientId) and the same user working through an embedded application (with a clientId) have separate session lists.
You can review your AI usage in the AI Features Customization section of the Admin Center. In the Total Usage tab, select an organization to view the usage per user. Conversations are tracked per user (userId) regardless of clientId. For more information, see View Token Usage.
